To many, Christmas is on December 25, but for New Yorkers, Christmas starts when the Rockefeller center tree is put up and lit. This year’s tree comes from East Greenbush, New York.
It arrived in the city on November 8th, and by December 3rd, over 50,000 multicolored LED lights dazzled across the tree, crowned with a dazzling Swarovski star. In mid-January, the tree will be milled into lumber and donated as means of giving back to the community.

“I visit Rockefeller center annually with my family to take a family picture”, a student says. The tree isn’t just an iconic landmark in New York City during the holiday season, but a traditional spot where many people grew up with.
“Every time I went to see the tree, it was always crowded with so many people! Lights and a great sense of holiday cheer filled the atmosphere”, another student comments. The tree doesn’t just ignite harmony within the community; it also sparks a great sense of warmth and harmony.
If you get the chance to see the tree, definitely stop by and admire it, becoming a part of the great community.
